Mac Awake Guard Terms of Service

Mac Awake Guard Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-12
Version: 1.0

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase, download, installation, and use of Mac Awake Guard (“the App”), a macOS menu bar utility provided by RanceLee (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By purchasing, downloading, installing, using the App, or checking “I agree” at checkout, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not purchase, install, or use the App.

1. Product Description

Mac Awake Guard is a digital macOS software utility that helps users manage sleep behavior from the menu bar. It can keep a Mac awake while connected to power, allow normal sleep on battery, and configure Quiet Hours with scheduled wake behavior.

The App is a digital, intangible product. Access is delivered through a downloadable installer and a license key.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian, to purchase and use the App.

You are responsible for ensuring that your Mac, macOS version, security settings, and local permissions are compatible with the App before relying on it.

3. License

Mac Awake Guard is sold as a one-time purchase for a lifetime license for the current product.

One license key is valid for one Mac at a time. If you switch to a new Mac, contact support and we may reset or transfer your license in good faith.

You may not:

  • Share, publish, resell, or redistribute your license key.
  • Redistribute the App package as your own product.
  • Reverse engineer, modify, or bypass the license activation system.
  • Use the App in violation of applicable laws or platform rules.

4. Delivery

After purchase, you will receive access to the installer through the checkout platform and/or this website.

License keys may be delivered manually. We aim to deliver license keys within 24 hours after a completed purchase. If you do not receive your license key, contact support at [email protected] with your order email or order ID.

5. Billing and Payment

Prices are shown at checkout before payment. Taxes, fees, exchange rates, and payment methods may vary by platform and location.

For purchases completed through Waffo Pancake, payment processing is handled by Waffo Pancake. We do not receive or store your full card number or payment credentials.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us at [email protected] before filing a bank dispute. Include your order email, order ID, transaction ID, and a short explanation of the issue.

6. Refund Policy

You can download and install the App before buying to verify that it opens on your Mac. Without a license key, paid modes remain locked.

Because the App is a digital product with immediate access after delivery, purchases are generally final once the installer and license key have been delivered.

We will review refund requests in good faith, especially for:

  • Duplicate charges.
  • Failure to receive a license key after contacting support.
  • Verified activation failure that we cannot resolve.
  • A compatibility issue reported within 30 days of purchase.
  • Refund rights required by applicable law.

To request a refund, email [email protected] with your order email, order ID, transaction ID, Mac model, macOS version, and a description of the problem. Eligible refunds are processed through the payment platform used for the purchase.

7. Compatibility and Setup

Mac Awake Guard supports macOS 13 and later on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

The App requires a one-time local permission setup so it can call Apple’s pmset command for sleep control and scheduled wake. The setup command is shown inside the App after activation.

The App is not Apple-notarized. macOS may show a one-time Gatekeeper warning during first launch or installation. The installation guide explains the approval flow.

8. Updates

Your purchase includes access to future updates of Mac Awake Guard for the current product.

When a new version is available, download the latest installer from this website or the payment platform and run the installer again. Your existing license is preserved unless otherwise stated.

We may change, improve, or discontinue features over time.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App:

  • For illegal, abusive, or harmful purposes.
  • To interfere with another person’s device, data, or network.
  • In safety-critical, medical, emergency, industrial, financial trading, or legally required availability workflows.
  • In a way that violates applicable laws, platform rules, or third-party rights.

10. Privacy and Data

Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy.

License activation uses a license key, device hash, device name, and App version to bind one license key to one Mac. The App does not include usage analytics, advertising tracking, sleep history collection, or file-content collection.

Payment data is processed by the checkout platform used for your purchase, including Waffo Pancake where applicable.

11. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Mac Awake Guard changes macOS sleep behavior by calling documented Apple system commands. We cannot guarantee that it will prevent every sleep, wake, network, battery, or remote-access issue on every Mac configuration.

You are responsible for checking the App’s behavior on your own Mac before relying on it for long-running tasks.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

Our total liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by quitting and deleting it.

We may suspend or refuse license support if we reasonably believe that a license key has been shared, resold, abused, fraudulently obtained, or used in violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page. If required by law or platform rules, we will provide additional notice.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when these Terms were last changed.
